It is very smooth, very quiet, reliable, makes decent power for the size and time (170hp in 2.5L, 200hp in 3.0 and 220 in the 3.0 ST220), but for some reason they forgot it was going to be a cruiser engine in a family car and they crammed all the torque up top and it has nothing down low. It has been reliable, required few repairs, does great and snow, it is easy on gas, great interior, and it is so cheap on the used market. I was apprehensive at first, but the car is great.
