Hello chaps just found this thread and found it most interesting, I'm a mobile tech and have recently been given a mondeo 2.0 Tdci 2009 with this engine oil/fuel problem. My initial thoughts were to test diesel pump as this is a common problem amongst higher mileage engines, this was found to be ok.
Support. My 2007 TCDI 2.0 Mondeo has done 130,000 miles & generally runs without a problem. However, on zero or a very light throttle it seems to surge ie seems to accelerate fractionally, then not, then on again etc. Pehaps 2 or 3 seconds between on & off if you see what I mean.

Unless Ford put a petrol engine back in a Mondeo there will be no torque converter type trans fitted It will not happen, Mondeo/Fusion are on the way out It is only my opinion, but it could be that the torque converter 6F35 Mid Range Ford/GM trans is not fitted to diesels as, official manufacturers figures show the 6F35 trans will not safely

Hi guys, I recently got given a mondeo 2.0 tdci zetec (115ps) on a 2003/53 with 193,000 miles on it, I thought it was a bargain at £180, 5 months mot 2 months tax, and £60 of diesel in the motor! So truly owes me £120.. Original plan was to just put it on to ebay and make a couple of hundred quid, after looking at it, its got a great spec

Faults in the wheel speed sensors usually put the ABS light on and raise suitable DTCs, so they seem to be ok. Maybe the fault is in the ABS electronic module, or in the wiring or connector. However the PCM and/or IC are reading data from the ABS ok to get vehicle speed. So the CAN bus connections seem to be ok.
I have this annoying issue with my new (ish) Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Sport 163. Its 7 months old, and done just over 5000 miles, and I have owned it for a month. When changing from 1st to 2nd gear it does 1 of 3 things : 1) It acts normally (revs start to drop straight away when foot is released from gas and clutch depressed)

Another day another problem Getting a lot of knocking and rattle on the front end, probably drivers side. 100% reproducible. if the car is underload or braking, no rattle/knock. if its not underload or braking either with the clutch engaged or disengaged, it knocks around a lot, not always in res
Posted April 20, 2022. Hi, my 2014 Mk2 Galaxy (2.0 TDCI) often goes into limp mode when accelerating hard. It shows " service engine now" on the dash and loses power (I guess the turbo gets disabled?). Stopping the car and switching the engine off will "cure" the problem.
