Nothing about an MMI software update.. That's exactly what I'm saying. I was never asking about maps, though I very much appreciate your answer because I'd like to stay up to date on maps. The URL in my original post provided instructions on how to download and update the MMI software. Those instructions no longer work.

The procedure is you need to download the map zip file (22GB file), then unzip the contents to either a USB stick or SD card. You'll need at least a 32GB SD/USB stick. Zip contents need extracted directly to the root of the SD card. Place the SD /USB into the Macan's slot, open your maps and start the update procedure (see youtube link below).

believe its only certain mmi nav systems you can update yourself via the portal, q5 gets done at the main dealer or via the sd cards if you download load them from torrent sites or buy them old q5 runs the same system as the 8t a5 and 8k a4 .. have looked into this but never got around to doing it
